Orange Soda Doctrine

So, last week, we went out to dinner at Cracker Barrel and I had one of those sweet God-moments. I call it the "Orange Soda Doctrine."

Kenny ordered an orange soda, and when it was down to the watered-down part of it, the waitress brought him a new one. However, he insisted on finishing the watered-down one. I told him "You don't have to finish that one, there's a new one right there."

It reminded me of how we are with God's blessings. We're so focused on getting what we can by ourselves, but He clearly provides us with new blessings. We don't get God's leftovers. He gives us new blessings every morning. We just have to know how to look for them. And then once we find them, we just need to take them! And, of course, remember to be thankful. Because He doesn't HAVE to give us anything. He already gave the ultimate sacrifice.

"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning. Great is Your faithfulness!" - Lamentations 3:22-23

I pray that you'll find God's blessings for you every day. (:

God's so amazing. The fact that He pours out blessings on us, as insignificant as we are, is incredible. Thanks for the encouraging blog :)
