"When God began killing them, they finally sought Him. They repented and took God seriously. Then they remembered that god was their Rock, that God Most High was their Redeemer. But all they gave Him was lip service; they lied to Him with their tongues. Their hearts were not loyal to him. they did not keep His covenant." - Psalm 78:34-37
So this verse hits home for me right now. I think it's relevant to all of us, actually. So, let's look at why.
Remember the last verse? When the people weren't thankful because of the food that they were given and they completely turned from Him? Well, God, in His Sovereignty began punishing them. God knew that it would take something like that in order for them to recognize exactly who He was (and still is). However, after they realized who He was, they didn't fully submit to Him. They recognized who He was, but they just worshiped Him with their mouths, rather than their lives. It's a start - but God wants (and deserves way more than) our LIVES. Every part of our lives.
I think that's where a lot of us are right now. We know who God is, we know about Him, we know how to please Him, but it's like we're trying to trick Him into thinking He has all of us. It reminds me of a Casting Crowns song...
"Just how close can I get, Lord, to my surrender without losing all control?"
There's a disconnect between what our heads intend and what our hearts desire...and that's not how it should be. So how can we fix this? The only what I can think of is to completely delve into the Word. Get to know God, and then you'll want to serve Him.

That's powerful. As Christians, we have the Holy Spirit to guide us, but the only way that we can completely surrender is to grow closer to God through His word. Thanks for the blog :)
Ah I know how this is, thanks beautiful (:
